Vikramaśila Foundation: Who We Are

The Vikramasila Foundation is founded and run by teachers of Tibetan Buddhism who come from an unbroken lineage dating back to the time of the Buddha

Established under the auspices of His Holiness Sakya Trichen and directed by Khenpo Pema Wangdak, the Vikramasila Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the teachings of the Buddha. 

The Foundation oversees programs in the Americas and the Himalayas. These include courses in meditation, special empowerment teachings and Tibetan cultural events taught in and around New York City and South America through the Palden Sakya Centers as well as various projects promoting the education and wellbeing of young tibetans in Nepal and India through Pema Ts'al (Lotus Grove) Schools.
